Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The landing page at pingovo.com lets anyone verify emails for free, without signing up. For more verifications, create a free account, then add credits or a plan.

Pingovo accepts CSV (.csv) and Excel (.xlsx) files. The email column is auto-detected by header name or by content. There is no strict column order requirement. Other columns in your file are preserved and included in the export.

Single and API verifications stop immediately. Active campaigns auto-pause and will resume automatically once you purchase more credits — no data is lost and no manual action is required beyond topping up your balance.

Yes. All SMTP passwords are encrypted with AES-256 before being stored in the database. They are never returned in API responses, never logged, and are only decrypted transiently in memory during email sending.

No. API access (X-API-Key authentication) requires a paid plan — Lite or above. You can upgrade on the Pricing page.

Email warmup is the practice of gradually increasing your sending volume on a new sender domain to build a positive reputation with ISPs. If you are starting to send campaigns from a brand-new domain you should warm it up first — otherwise your emails are likely to land in spam. See the Email Warmup section for details. Warmup is available on the Lite plan and above.

Go to Billing → Current Plan → Cancel Subscription. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing cycle. Unused credits do not expire with subscription cancellation.

Credits purchased on a subscription plan are renewed each billing cycle — unused credits from the previous cycle do not roll over. One-time credit purchases and PAYG credits do not expire as long as your account remains active.

Role accounts are email addresses associated with a function or department rather than an individual inbox — for example admin@, support@, noreply@, billing@. Sending marketing email to role accounts typically results in poor engagement, increased spam complaints, and potential blacklisting. Pingovo flags them so you can decide whether to include them in campaigns.
