Email Warmup
Email warmup is the process of gradually increasing your sending volume on a new or cold domain to build a positive reputation with ISPs (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, etc.). Skipping warmup on a new domain often results in emails landing in spam or being rejected outright.
Email warmup requires Lite plan or above. The number of simultaneous warmup campaigns depends on your plan tier.
How Pingovo warmup works
- You link your SMTP configuration to a warmup campaign and set a daily ramp-up schedule (e.g. start at 10 emails/day, increase by 10 each day).
- Pingovo's network of seed inboxes (Pingovo Seeds) receives your warmup emails.
- The seed accounts automatically open, reply, and move emails out of spam — generating authentic engagement signals.
- ISPs observe consistent, positive engagement and improve your domain's sender reputation over 2–4 weeks.
Setting up a warmup campaign
- 1Go to Email Warmup → New Warmup Campaign.
- 2Select the SMTP configuration (sender domain) you want to warm up.
- 3Set the starting daily volume and daily increment.
- 4Set the target maximum daily volume.
- 5Click Create Warmup. The campaign starts right away and sends inside the send window you chose — if you create it outside those hours, sending begins when the window next opens. Pause it any time from the campaign page.
Health monitoring
The warmup detail page shows a health dashboard for your sender domain including:
- Inbox placement — a breakdown of where your warmup emails actually land: Direct Inbox (arrived in the inbox immediately), Rescued to Inbox (landed in spam first, then was moved to the inbox by the warmup network), and Direct Spam (stayed in spam). A high Rescued share is a sign your reputation is improving but isn't fully there yet — it's real spam-filter distrust still being corrected, not a clean first-pass landing.
- Delivery rate — ratio of accepted to attempted emails
- Bounce rate — should stay below 2% for healthy domains
- Domain reputation score — aggregated health indicator
