Public Signup Forms
Turn any subscriber list into a self-serve opt-in page so people can join it themselves — embed it on your website, or share the link directly on social media, in your email signature, or anywhere else.
How it works
Signup forms use double opt-in. A visitor submits their email (plus any extra fields you've configured), and Pingovo sends them a confirmation email with a link. They are only added to your list once they click that link — a raw submission by itself never adds anyone, which keeps typos, bots, and people who changed their mind off your list.
Setting up a signup form
- 1Open the list from Subscriber Lists and click Signup Form.
- 2Toggle Accept public signups on. Pingovo generates a unique shareable link the first time you enable it.
- 3Optionally add up to 5 extra fields (e.g. Company, Phone) that appear on the form beyond email, and mark any of them as Required.
- 4Click Save fields.
- 5Copy the shareable link to share it directly, or copy the embed snippet to place the form as an iframe on your own website.
Sharing the form
| Option | What it is |
|---|---|
| Shareable link | A standalone signup page hosted by Pingovo — share it anywhere. |
| Embed snippet | A ready-to-paste <iframe> snippet that renders the same form inside your own website. |
Regenerating the link
If a link needs to be retired — for example, if it's picking up spam submissions — open the signup form settings and click the regenerate icon next to the shareable link. This immediately invalidates the old link and embed, so update anywhere you've shared or embedded it with the new one.
Everyone who joins through a signup form shows up in the list with their submission marked as coming from that form, so you can always tell self-signups apart from contacts you imported or added manually.
