Sending Domains

A sending domain is the domain your campaign emails come from. Pingovo supports two options — use a Pingovo-managed subdomain (zero setup) or verify your own custom domain for full brand control.

Custom Domain[email protected]Add DNS records (DKIM + SPF)

Adding a custom sending domain

  1. 1
Go to Sending Domains in the sidebar and click Add Domain.
  2. 2
Enter your domain name (e.g. yourdomain.com) and click Continue.
  3. 3
Pingovo generates a unique DKIM key pair and shows you the DNS records to add.
  4. 4
Add the DKIM TXT record and SPF TXT record to your domain's DNS panel.
  5. 5
Click Verify DNS. Pingovo checks for the records (propagation can take up to 48 hours).
  6. 6
Once verified, select this domain in any campaign's From address settings.

DNS records required

Record typeNameValue
TXT (DKIM)pk1-xxxxxxxx._domainkey.yourdomain.comv=DKIM1; k=rsa; p=<your-public-key>
TXT (SPF)yourdomain.comv=spf1 include:spf.pingovosend.com ~all

The DKIM record name is unique to your domain — the "xxxxxxxx" above stands in for the selector Pingovo generates for you. The exact record names and values are shown on the Sending Domains verification page; copy them directly from there to avoid typos.

Pingovo subdomain (automatic)

Every account is automatically assigned a unique subdomain on pingovosend.com (e.g. a1b2c3d4.pingovosend.com). DKIM, SPF, and A records are provisioned automatically on your first campaign send. No action is required.

The Pingovo subdomain method sets your visible From to the subdomain address. Your real address appears as Reply-To so recipients can reply to you directly.
